Waitwith Stud was established in 1973 with the purchase of a bay Section A mare named Eppynt Rosemary. Further additions were made in 1974 in with the purchase of Haybury Russett from the Fayre Oaks sale - a grey roan stallion by Pendock Pippen.

At the 1975 Fayre Oaks Synod Jewel, a chestnut filly by Sinton Solomon was purchased and in 1976 Waitwith Romance (a Royal Welsh Champion in 1990) was born, by Haybury Russett out of Eppynt Rosemary.

Bengad Hercules was purchased from the Fayre Oaks sale in 1977 and these lines still have a great influence on our stud today. Our bloodlines are predominantly Bengad with several outcrosses along the way and as we live on a hill farm running at 1,000ft our ponies are hardy.

We breed for quality with good temperaments, the type of ponies that will excel either in hand or under saddle.
